Sonali Mathur was a Partner in Dispute Resolution at AZB & Partners, Mumbai. She is an alumni of Government Law College, Mumbai, and pursued a Master’s degree from Columbia Law School, NY. She has advised on several domestic and international arbitrations across various sectors such as insurance, projects, renewable energy, steel and coal. Her work highlights include a landmark decision of the Supreme Court distinguishing between seat and venue of arbitration.
She is a member of the Young-SIAC Committee and has been consistently ranked in Chambers Global (2021-22) and Chambers Asia-Pacific (2021,2022,2023), Benchmark Litigation (2022) and Legal 500 (2021, 2022)
