More than around 150 individuals working across the UK’s Legal Profession in a wide array of capacities are unveiled as contenders for the Women and Diversity in Law Awards. Amongst all the 130 legal business, in-house legal teams, suppliers to the sector and not-for-profit groups are represented in the shortlist. The contenders for the Law Awards will be competing across 33 categories that seek to identify exceptional leaders and practitioners as well as the legal business teams and individuals moving the needle across the strands of diversity and inclusion, including disability, LGBT+, mental health and wellbeing, racial equality and social mobility.
This award will showcase the categories including Woman of the Year, Responsible Leader and Business of the Year, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programme of the Year. The awards ceremony will be hosted by the Global Legal Post, and the reception will take place at the Marriot Grosvenor Square in London on 21st March 2023and will feature mental health-focused LawCare as the official charity.
Some of the shortlisted law firms include global giants like Ashurst, Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, Dentons, and Herbert Smith Freehills; top 50 UK law firms FieldFisher, RPC, and Travers Smith; and London boutiques and barristers’ chambers such as the recently launched Pallas Partners and Matrix Chambers.
