Withers KhattarWong has set up a Japan desk after hiring a corporate expert Yutaka Sakashita as a partner from the Japanese Big Five Firm Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu. The launch of the Japan desk is aimed towards strengthening Withers KhattarWong in its transactional practice procedure following an increase in cross-border M&A between Singapore and Japan.
Yutaka Sakashita has built up his 15-year legal career at Nagashima Ohno in Tokyo and Singapore and he represents Japanese companies on their cross-border corporate, private equity and venture capital transactions. Thus, with the addition of Sakashita, Withers KhattarWong has around 22 partners.
