AT&T owes $166 million for infringing mobile network patent



AT&T Mobility LLC has to pay $166.3 Million in damages for violating Finesse Wireless LLC’s Patent Rights with its 4G/LTE and 5G wireless networks, as per the order of a jury in the East Texas Federal Court. At the course of the investigation, the jury fund that AT&T’s networks which use the equipments made by Nokia in their cell towers, have infringed two patents to reduce wireless-signal interference owned by Finesse.


It was said by Nokia and AT&T in a joint statement issued, where they disagreed with the verdict and considered the appeal. Finesse’s leading attorney Joe Grinstein of Susman Godfrey said in a statement regarding the firm’s acceptance of the verdict. The case is Finesse Wireless LLC v. AT&T Mobility LLC, US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, No. 2:21-cv-00316.
